[obsah] => The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague) works continuously to deepen its international integration. It actively supports international cooperation in the field of education, science, and research, both with European and non-European partners.
UCT Prague considers international cooperation in research and the educational field to be a necessary condition for maintaining and further developing the level of these areas. Student mobilities, both outward and inward, the creation and implementation of joint study programs and the internationalization of other areas of university life create an inspiring environment at UCT Prague, in which new stimuli are created for improving the level and forms and methods of teaching our students, for improving conditions for studies, for the development of the activities of students and academic staff and the expansion of all forms of international cooperation. Similarly, international contacts in the field of science and research are also a source for the development of UCT Prague's science and research activities.
The cornerstones of international activities are inter-institutional cooperation agreements, joint study programs with foreign universities, mobility of students and employees within the Erasmus+ program and other international programs, and international scientific and research projects.
International cooperation of UCT Prague is coordinated by the Department of International Relations in cooperation with the Project Centre and Research and Technology Transfer Office and the relevant vice-rectors.

| Professionals in Doctoral Education - an association focused on the professional development of administrative staff and academics who support or ensure the doctoral education agenda. This includes in particular the management and employees of doctoral schools or other supporting organizational units that ensure the course of doctoral studies and the personal and professional development of young researchers and their supervisors. VŠCHT became a member in July 2022. |

EUA-CDE |
| The EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) was established in 2008 at the initiative of the European University Association in response to the growing interest in doctoral education and research training in Europe. An integral part of the European University Association is now the largest European network in this field, which includes more than 267 universities and institutions dealing with issues of doctoral education and training in research in 37 countries. By promoting cooperation and the exchange of best practices among its members and by disseminating the results of its work, EUA-CDE contributes significantly to the development of doctoral education and training in research in Europe. VŠCHT became a member in October 2022. |

Want to make a little break in the middle of semester? Are you a 3rd year bachelor or master student? If yes, then ATHENS week is just for you. ATHENS network mediates cooperation between 15 partner institutions across Europe and offers their students and professors to participate in so called ATHENS week. Every semester around 30 students from UCT Prague travel to the destination of their choice and take 7-days intensive courses in interesting reaserch and development topics. It is an easy way to go abroad.
UCT Prague offers generous scholarships for ATHENS participants.
At the termination of an ATHENS Session, the home institution officially recognises the work carried out. Each complete Session is worth 2 credits.

Available for students in 3rd year of study and higher [Be aware - some courses might have a higher minimum!]. After submitting the application, selection will take place, where the study results, and activities in student associations (ESN, IAESTE) will be considered. How should I apply?
APPLICATION to Paris central Office
As the sending institution selects Czech Technical University (CTU) - through which UCT Prague is connected to the ATHENS network.
Print the Application form in .pdf and let it be signed by the vice-dean for the education of your faculty (in the case of School of Business students it is doc. Vlachý) and by you at the Student Commitment part.

Yes, there are. Due to the interest exceeding the number of participants that UCT can support to join, we have to apply certain selection criteria. First, we prioritize students who have not joined the ATHENS programme yet, then we line up applicants according to their study results. The number of participants we can support to join is 30.

After successful participation, you receive 2 ECTS.
Only the dean´s office can acknowledge your credits in SIS. The department of International Relations will send emails with lists of sparticipants, who have already sent us all of the obligatory documents mentioned above to each faculty. Please do not send your documents and requests to the dean´s office yourself. Our department will sort everything out for you and send you a copy of the request email, so that you know that it had been passed on to them.
We always try to send complete lists of students, therefore if there are any delays in uploading certificates, the credit acknowledgement may be delayed as well. If for serious reasons you need to have the credits in SIS sooner, please let us know as soon as possible.

If your application is accepted and approved (via e-mail from the Department of Int. Relations), you will be asked to sign Financial Agreement and Scholarship Decree (both prepared for you) not later than the week before departure. You will receive the money in a few days after signing.
You can find translated templates for financial agreement and scholarship decree here. Both documents are, however issued in Czech language.
In special cases,you may sign the documents after arrival back from your conference and thus get the scholarship afterwards.
The scholarship is not subject to any expense declaration, but in case, you cover your costs by applying for International Travel Business Trip (paid by your faculty or institution), this MOBI scholarship is part of its account.
In the 2022/2023 academic year, the Scholarship is 5000 CZK within Europe and 8000 CZK out of Europe.

Important:
If the attendance at an event is done in coordination with your faculty/institution and there is a larger number of participants joining, please contact outgoing@vscht.cz to find out more and to agree on the administration process and scholarship.
When applying for summer school, it is preferable, that you also collect ECTS. If this applies, you have to fill out the Learning Agreement before mobility and have it signed before your departure. The subject, which will be recognised here at UCT, must be part of your study plan. For possible additional help, please contact your study department.

Fulfilling these conditions, the student can receive also a grant for additional days for travel - at a maximum of 4 days.

BIP are short-term mobilities composed of the virtual part and physical mobility parts of the activity. It has similar features as a summer/winter school but always consists of a virtual part as well. The type of mobility must be announced as a BIP Programme.
Please read carefully how to apply for the Erasmus+ scholarship:
Fill in the "Student Application Form" print it and collect all the necessary approvals and signatures.
Apply online via this link and be sure you have the above-mentioned Application Form signed and scanned, ready to be enclosed. The application is open a whole year long, but please always contact outgoing@vscht.cz to inform us - we do not check the form every day.
Fill in the online Learning Agreement and submit it in order to get approval from UCT Prague and the receiving institution via the OLA platform.
You are obliged to arrange travel insurance, covering both Health and liability issues. A copy of your insurance contract must be filed at our office before departure.
All travel arrangements including finding yourself accommodation are up to you. Financial support is a fixed amount of money no matter how high your travel or accommodation expenses are.
Contact Partner University International Department to find out all about the possibilities of provided accommodation, agree on the terms and confirm your arrival.
Your scholarship funding will be provided in EUR. In order not to lose much from the money transfer - get yourself a EUR account. The received financial support differs from the length of the stay.
