University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague) - Quick Introduction

The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague), known in Czech as Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická v Praze (VŠCHT Praha), is one of Europe’s leading educational and research institutions specializing in chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology, materials science, and related fields. With its origins tracing back to the early 19th century as part of the Czech Technical University, it gained independent status in 1952. Today, it stands at the forefront of scientific innovation, offering a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment that encourages both academic excellence and practical application.
