The official authority that administers the long-term residence permits in the Czech Republic is the Ministry of the Interior, specifically the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy (the Czech acronym for this department is OAMP).
Foreigners living in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days are in regular contact with this office. Applications for the long-term residence permit are processed here, as well as registration after arrival, notifications of changes in personal data (address, new ID documents etc.) and changes and extensions of the residence permits.
The OAMP office runs the Official Information Portal for Foreigners as well as a Facebook profile. We recommend to follow these channels for any news and for overview of rights and obligations of foreigners in the Czech Republic.
