Do you want to start your professional career with a financially supported traineeship abroad?
From May 2025, VŠCHT is expanding its offer of foreign placements to include graduate internships under the Erasmus+ programme. Graduate internships must be carried out within 1 year of graduation, and the application must be submitted before graduation!
Erasmus internships for graduates of the VŠCHT are carried out by the non-governmental non-profit organisation EDUCA International, o.p.s.
After you submit your application to the VŠCHT, this organisation will handle all the necessary documentation for the trip and conclude a Financial Agreement with you.
Where to go?
- Europe (outside region 13,14) - any university or institution applying science and research.
- Europe - Region 13, 14 (Faroe Islands, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City) - outside higher education institutions only.
!Be aware! you cannot travel to the coutry of your origin fro Erasmus. E.g. German citizen cannot travel to Germany.
How to find a host institution?
There are no limits to your imagination! You can choose from all universities, laboratories, companies, non-profit organisations, registered societies, student organisations, research institutes and any other organisation with legal status for your internship. Only have in mind limitations in several countries (look above).
No inter-institutional contract with the selected organisation needed!
Where to search?
You can contact our partner universities or any other university/institution/company in Europe that applies science and research in a field relevant to your studies. Write them an e-mail, search their website. For internship offers, we recommend following closely your institute's current projects and collaborations, asking your supervisors, and following the news on the ZO website. Organisations from all over Europe share internship offers on various online portals. Please note that Erasmus+ support does not allow you to go to European Union institutions (e.g. the European Parliament). We recommend you take a look at the website:
- erasmusintern.org
- globalplacement.com
- myinternship.eu
- trainingexperience.org
- environmentjobs.com
- experientia.cz
- risfellowships
- eurodesk.eu
Does my graduate traineeship have to be related to my studies?
We always recommend that your internship be related to your field of study.
Nevertheless, it is not a problem if you want to look into another field of expertise after your studies. The important thing is that the host institution accepts you as an intern. The faculty coordinator (vice-dean of International Affairs) and the International department will be assessing the program of the internship when the Learning Agreement is being signed.
Who can apply?
- Bachelor/Master/Doctoral student
- All forms of study
- There are no limits on your citizenship
- You must be a student of an accredited study programme at the time of application
- You must have completed your studies at the time of departure
How long can I travel for?
We offer graduate internships of 2-3 months. Shorter trips of 5-30 days can be requested by PhD students who are caring for a child during the traineeship.
