Start planning at least 3 months before the Application Deadline. It increases your chance of a successful nomination.
University selection
The link leads you to the list of partner universities. Pay attention to the field (used codes: ISCED-F Code search) and level of study (6= BSP, 7=MSP, 8=DSP). In case you intend to study at a university that is not our partner, please contact outgoing@vscht.cz to find out more.
Search the website of the chosen university for the catalogue of courses for Erasmus/Exchange students and find out how they suit your study plan.
Check whether the university offers foreign students an exchange stay in a language you master and whether the courses (subjects) you find in their catalogue of courses for Erasmus/Exchange students suit your study plan. Find out if the university has its own procedure and application forms (online application), if so, follow its instructions. Read the final reports from students visiting the same University in previous years at Student Experience. |
Study plan
Learning Agreement for Studies - Before the Mobility. Fill in the yellow parts. For a successful application, this document must be signed by you and the faculty coordinator (look below). Other signatures will be added after a successful selection interview. Application deadlines are in the Schedule Box.
It is necessary to enrol courses at partner institutions for at least 25ECTS/semester and find at least 1 eligible course here at UCT. In case you struggle, contact the faculty coordinator.
Eligible subjects (subjects to be recognised at UCT) - should be similar to those at the UCT. When you find some eligible subjects, contact the subject guarantor to find out if there is a chance of recognition. Fill in the eligible subjects in the Learning Agreement Before the Mobility (Table B) accordingly.

NEW!
Rules for recognition of credit courses from abroad: 1. A course with an overlap in the syllabus with a course in the student's study plan may be recognized as a compulsory, compulsory-optional or optional course (assessed by the course guarantor). 2. A course from a foreign university that fits the graduate's profile but does not have an equivalent in the student's study plan, may be recognised as a compulsory-optional course (assessed by the study programme guarantor). 3. Any course (at the same study level) from a foreign university may be recognized as an optional course (added to the Student's study plan, often after arrival by the Dean's Office - under the "X" code). Additional remarks: 1. The Final State Exam topic areas in compliance with the approved accreditation, do not in any way change in case the student has requested a recognition of a UCT Prague course covering an FSE topic area (usually the compulsory or compulsory-optional course). I.e. in case the recognized course(s) does not fully cover the FSE topic area, it still will be a part of the FSE, and the student himself/herself is responsible for filling in any missing knowledge of the topic area. |
Application
Fill in the online application form:
Enclose these documents:
1. Language Certificate in the language of your intended study (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL). !Students studying UCT full-time in English do NOT need to prove their language proficiency.
Missing language certificate?
In case you do not have any language certificate yet, apply for a language test at Ústav Jazyků (UCT Department of Languages).
2. Learning Agreement for Studies - Before the Mobility. When applying, you can enclose 3 different Learning Agreements for Studies - Before the Mobility to the 3 different destinations.
We do not recommend to have only one choice. It is highly recommended to have a backup plan in case other students are more successful and all places are taken. Changes in the destination after the selection interview are not possible.
Selection interview
After the application deadline, you will be invited to a selection interview. Here you will get the chance to introduce your plan and motivation for studying abroad. Your application details and information provided during the interview are assessed and transformed into points.
