What documents do you need to finalize now?

Letter of Acceptance

After being selected for the interview, you will be instructed to communicate with the host institution until you obtain a Letter of Acceptance or less formal confirmation via e-mail. There is no template for such a letter. Please take note, that you are responsible for providing them with all necessary documents.

Learning Agreement for Traineeship Before Mobility

When successfully accepted by the host institution, you must finalize the Learning Agreement for Traineeship Before Mobility to have it fully signed.

Insurance

You are obliged to arrange travel insurance, covering both Health + Liability issues. A copy of your insurance contract must be filed at our office before departure.

A1 Form (for PhD students)

In case you have, next to your study, also a working agreement at UCT or elsewhere, please contact the HR department of your employer to arrange a request for an A1 form issued by the locally competent District Social Security Administration. Please be aware, that this procedure requires one month at minimum. For more information, please contact Ms Anna Mittnerová.

Visa

Always check your Residence permit and the necessity of obtaining a visa for our stay abroad.

Intellectual Property Rights

Regarding the scope of your work abroad, please always consider with your supervisor to what extent your/the University's Intellectual Property Rights need to be protected, and don't forget the other way around - if you are going to collaborate on someone else's project - the extent to which they will allow you to publish and use the results of the work. If you are unsure, contact our colleagues at the Research and Technology Transfer Department.

Financial Agreement
