How to apply

Find yourself an institution

You may search the list of partner universities but feel free to find yourself any institution located within Erasmus program countries (see below). Length of Traineeship is to be between 2 – 12 months.  Traineeships that differ from this length will be assessed individually and approved only in well-founded cases.

When having your plan and have found an institution where to go, consult how to fit your plan into your study program either at Deans's's office, Faculty Coordinator or your supervisor.

Together with filling in the Application form you will need to submit

1. Language Certificate in the language of the intended traineeship (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL) !Students studying UCT full-time in English do NOT need to prove their language proficiency.

If you do not have any language certificate yet, apply for a language test at Ústav Jazyků (UCT Department of Languages). 

2. Learning Agreement for Traineeship - Before the Mobility (differs from the level of your study, please see Forms). Fill in only the yellow parts and all boxes, that have not been pre-set. For a successful application, this document must be signed by you and Vice-Dean for Education (BSP + MSP) or your supervisor (DSP). Other signatures will be added after a successful selection interview. Important Application deadlines are in the Schedule Box.

Struggling with how to fill the LABM?

"Planned period..."  if you don't know the exact dates yet, just indicate the months from-to at the application stage. We need the exact departure and return dates no later than 2 weeks before the trip to sign the financial agreement.

"Number of Working hours per week" please indicate the full-time weekly working hours rate in the host country.

"Detailed programme..." write in 1-2 paragraphs the content of your traineeship, what you will be working on, what project the traineeship is related to, indicate the connection with your study/research here at UCT Prague, you can indicate what methods you will use, write anything that will explain what you will be working on and how it is connected to your studies.

"Monitoring plan" briefly indicate how you will communicate with your host supervisor, how often meetings will take place, whether, how and with whom you will consult your work, etc.

"Evaluation plan" write who will evaluate and assess the outputs. Indicate how the outputs of your work will be handled after the end of the internship, e.g. publication of an article, implementation of a specific project, creation of a new or development of an existing collaboration of the institute, etc...

Selection interview

After the application deadline, you will be invited to a selection interview. Here you will get the chance to introduce your plan and motivation for a traineeship abroad. Your application details and information provided during the interview are assessed and transformed into points.
